It's a cold one...

15 degrees at 8:00 am... that's kind of cold... It's better than it's been though, it's been in the single digits in the morning the last couple days. This is southern California and I'm riding through ice and snow, that's just not right. I ran from the weather this last weekend and rode down in the valley instead. It was still cold, but it was more along the lines of what we normally have up here (high 20's to the 30's at the start then it warms up into the 50's), versus starting my ride when it's 10 degrees and finishing it up when it's 30 degrees, for a 5hr day that's just no good. This all reminds me of some of the people I talked to while I was riding down below, one guy sticks out in my mind. I was riding down PCH with a few of my teamates when we pass this guy, he jumps on with us and starts chatting with me. Of course it's all small talk, he pretty much started with "How you liking the cold?", I had heard this countless times this weekend already and was kind of tired of hearing it... I replied, "It's not bad.", he looked at me like I was crazy until I explained where I live and what the weather has been like up here... then I got a simple "oh..." In all fairness, it was cold down there... I think it was in the 20's when I left from Reseda on Sunday, that's cold for down there...
