Didn't go to hot for me... You know, when you sit patiently and wait for that one move and when that move comes it just doesn't work in your favor... well, it was kind of one of those days... I sat in the peleton all day and was waiting for the final sprint. After seeing some strong riders go up the road and then get brought back, it became evident nothing was going to stick and the end was going to come down to a bunch sprint... so I sat and waited all day, then about two laps to go I started moving up into the top 10-20 places then made a go for the top 10 on the last lap... somewhere on the long final stretch to the finish line I got caught behind two guys slamming into eachother and in turn slammed on their brakes which meant the same for me... when you slam on your brakes at 38+ mph, you go backwards pretty quick. Needless to say I lost any chance of pulling off a result. Some guy from Priority Health won it and 19th was about all I could muster up. No worries, I went out and found my own podium girls...
Giant's always taken good care of me... They keep me feeling loved...
