Hounded by the popo...

For whatever reason, today I was the target of that radar gun that we all fear. I was wrapping up the last hour of my ride and cruising through the final small town before I hit the road to Palmdale... There was this cop sitting at the single stop sign in this town aiming his radar gun up the road directly at me (Mind you, this is all occurring during rush hour when many commuters are jamming down this small two lane road to get to work)... I was just riding zn.2, so I wasn't really hammering. I may have had a tailwind and was probably cruising around 30 or so, still far below the speed limit... I make sure I stop and make an attempt to appear to be a good law abiding citizen and keep riding past the cop sitting in his cruiser. About a mile down the road, the guy passes me and stakes out about a 1/2 mile ahead of me, sticks his head out the window followed by the radar gun and again points it right at me... This went on all the way back into Palmdale... I was kind of baffled by the whole thing, I was getting passed by cars going 55+mph and getting no more than a foot of room and this cop is worried about my speed... hmmmm, whatever...
