Hotter'n Hell...

Went alright for the team as a whole, considering we all just met each other a few days before. We missed the winning break in the crit, but tried to pull it back. We couldn't really get organized enough to get a good train going to really bring it back though. The course was on pretty torn up roads, that coupled with a fast enough pace to keep it lined out led to it being difficult to move up. The bad roads led to several crashes with one of our guys going down in one. It was a bit of a tough race to really ride together as a team for the first time, but we still rode aggressively and showed that we may be a force to be reckoned with down the rode. Everyone seems to have a real good attitude about things and are all very in touch with working as a team.

The Road Race on Saturday went alright as well... Todd pulled 7th, which was the best result of the weekend. It sounded like things went well throughout the race for the team considering the lack of feeds we had and the extreme temps. Unfortunately, I went down in an early crash in the first 20 miles which left me messing with my bike for a few minutes before I could start chasing back on... That was all it took for my day to be over, I rode the rest of the 100 miles as a training ride...

Next weekend we have a series of 4 crits in Arkansas. I think we will miss the first crit on Friday night due to school, but the next 3 we will be hitting. The Friday night crit has a 9:30 p.m. start time, I'm kind of bummed as that would have been my first twilight crit...

At least your on a team now that will have team support. It must be nice to see your teamates around you in the pack.No more solo breaks.

I was going through the pictures that were taken at my company's rest stop and noticed there was one of you. If you would like to see it, I can email it to you. My email is rueschmike@gmail.com.

BTW thanks for pulling us around on the TCC ride the Monday before the HHH.
