Ramblings....

Here is a shot from Waver which was the last update I wrote... The guy who took the photo has come to the last couple races we have done and usually hangs out with us... His website is cycling-pics.be , I'm sure there will be more shots to come... This in the break on the cobble section of the finishing circuit. I think I flatted a lap or two after this...

In other news, I am now living in Izegem with the national team. Right now I have my own room, wireless internet, all the healthy food I want (if I want the bad stuff, I gotta go buy it... That's ok though, I prefer to eat healthy...), a bike (and possibly another spare bike), mechanics to do all my work, all the races are covered, etc... pretty much things are run at a pretty high level here, so all I have to think about is riding my bike and recovering... They seem to be really good about trying to get you to relax and not think about all those little things that add up when your thinking about racing and training.

Today we went out for a short spin after yesterdays race (which was pretty fast!) and got caught in the worst storm I've seen yet here... We were getting pelted with hail! It came in so fast, the ride started off nice and within 20 minutes the weather started to look kind of nasty. We started working our way back and in 10 minutes the clouds let loose on us. I have red marks all over my legs (with knee warmers on) from the hail hitting us so hard... It really hurt, that was pretty wicked! Till later...
