Today...

rode up to Big Rock Creek then back down to Devils Punchbowl to do a lap of next weekends road race that I won't be racing... never been up big rock Creek, I didn't know there were places that nice in socal, it kind of reminded me of Colorado but not really... if that makes any sense... It was this cool road that paralleled this creek and took you up to this "concentration camp" (okay, it was really some forest work camp) up towards the wrightwood area. There looked to be some sort of Indian Tribe doing tours somewhere up there, I saw someone sliding down a cable over the creek on my way back down, I think I may have to cruise up there and scope it out... could be some fun... By the time I got back down to the devils punchbowl area, I had some time to burn so I did a lap of the road race course... Yea, and of course I saw several guys out there doing some recon training... all I can say is be prepared for wind... it didn't seem to bad in the morning, but it picked up quick in the afternoon... and it hasn't been like our normal 15-25mph winds... nope, it's been averaging around 25-35 mph w/ gusts at 30+ mph for like the last 2 1/2 weeks... have fun!
