What a shame!

Houston-based amateur accepts doping suspension

It sounds like a lot of guys feel sorry for him, don't really think I do right now... I think it says something that he understands the mistake and is willing to accept the consequences, and deserves some respect as a result...but... a couple things:

1) knowingly taking a "natural testosterone enhancer" while knowingly being part of the USADA testing pool... really? First off, haven't enough dudes been busted for trying to enhance testosterone to know that those are some dangerous waters to go swimming in? and, again, doing it when in the USADA testing pool?

2) His team won the state TTT this year and now there is a cloud hanging over that. I feel bad for those guys on his team that worked hard for that title only to have it stripped away by a teammates poor judgement.

He's got a tough road ahead of him and I hope he stays strong and sticks with it. It will be tough to rejoin the peleton once the suspension is up with that cloud hanging over his head. I may not feel bad for him, but I do wish him the best of luck and hope he can get back to the kind of rider he was this year without the help of prohibited substances.
