TCR Advanced and the Cereal of Champions!

I got this Giant TCR Advanced to test this weekened... I ride a composite zero, the advanced is a completley different frame. Built up, it's almost 3 pounds lighter than my humble zero. I did some good climbing on it today and was pretty impressed, yea it's lighter but it's also pretty stiff. I'm usually pretty lame on lightening up my bike, I just don't really care. I look at the bike as only being as fast as you pedal it... but when you're already so thin that you can feel three pounds when you shed it and then you add a three pound lighter bike on top of that, that's six less pounds... that's a lot... This beauty will set you back about $5,500 big ones, but if you want a killer bike it's good for the money. One more thing to throw in; one of my buddies at work told me about his power cereal... It's oatmeal with grape nuts and whatever else you want in it. I usally have a cup of oatmeal with a 1/4 cup raisins for breakfast. Today I threw in a 1/2 cup of grape nuts in with it to make it a little more hardy since I was doing a long ride. It worked great, it's the newly proclaimed cereal of champions... I must caution against overdoing it on the grapenuts, it will sit in your stomach like cement all day if you have more than 2.5 cups in one serving... I learned this last week, I couldn't eat anything during my 4 hr ride or after for that matter...

J,

Hey ... what the heck ... are those rollers in the house? Are you watching 'Springer' while training again? Must be nice ... high today in Ohio was 25 ... yeah I'm a candy ass .... only made 2:32 of the scheduled 4 hour ride ... my toes & testicles are still thawing out!

Off to North Carolina in the morning ... hope you have a good week.
