Somehow I got in to an interclub (UCI) race... usually you can't do that without belonging to a club out here... Things went well, I got in some breaks and made some friends and ended up pulling 15th at the end of the day. I had to do more than my fair share of the work in the breaks and do all the work to bridge up to them and then forego the primes, but the pat on the back I got from the belgium guys was a good sign. For the second half of the race, the strong guys let me know when they were going to attack so I could go with. The race was 140k (about 85 miles) and we finished it in 3hrs... pretty quick, and most of that race was off the front for me... needless to say I was feeling pretty spent the following day, but all is good now and it sounds like I may be doing some racing for the national team this weekend...
