A Dedication

I lost a good friend today in a tragic accident when piloting a test flight in an F-22. I'm not real sure things have really sunk in yet, but what comes to mind first is all those evenings after Tour de Tucson every year where we would sit and drink a beer and talk about the epic ride... Then go find some coffee and recount all the bits that we had missed in our previous discussions. Dave Cooley was a mentor, friend, and family all rolled into one. When things were tense, he could come in and crack a joke and lighten the atmosphere. Dave, I will miss you and something will be missing from Tour de Tucson from here on out along with all the training rides when I come home. I was just talking to my dad yesterday and listening to him tell me how you dropped him this last weekend, this hit too close to home. Cool's, you will live on in my heart and I dedicate this season to you! You are an awesome inspiration and will always be in my thoughts.
The article touches on what happened.

Tiff and my prayers are with the Cooley family.
