Stage 5 of Nature Valley

Was pretty chill once the break got away, till we hit the finishing circuit... That hill was killer and I was too far back going into it and got caught behind too many gaps and lost touch with not only the leaders, but all the groups in between... I had been struggling with trying to get neutral water at the feed zones much of the race after losing a bottle early into the race. I was already getting goose bumps going into the circuit... Kind of a rough day... Got pulled with a lap to go after getting gapped to far off the back... Pretty sure I wasn't 9 minutes back though... those laps didn't take 9 minutes to complete and only missing the last one... well... you do the math... what's even more interesting is Pipp (from Bissel) crashed before hitting the circuit and hooked up with Colt (who flatted), while they were told to retire, Pipp kept going and was given a time of 6 minutes back... curious... he never passed me... The poor guy had a pretty rough crash though and shoot what the heck does it matter to me, I'm not in contention for squat... Just makes me question the officials...

The Damage...
Think some duct tape will get me through the rest of the race?

I got to try out the Orbea and Dura Ace 10 speed, which is always nice...
Shimano did an awesome job of setting up my position and rigging up my power tap cpu in a pinch... lost bottles, but didn't lose my cpu...

Dude your bike is... Jacked.

What did you think of Stillwater? It really is a nice town if you don't have to race.

Yea it is... I saw something called the beer caves? What is that? That looked pretty cool...

the race was no fun... with battling dehydration from the previous day and asthma, I was swinging every time up that climb... It didn't seem so bad once I dropped off the lead pack though... wish someone had some beer at the top...
